Revenue for Consolidated Graphics’ June 2011 quarter increased 2.8 percent to $243.4 million, compared to the prior-year quarter. Its adjusted operating income totaled $8.9 million, or 3.7 percent of revenue, compared to $9.7 million, or 4.1 percent of revenue, last year.

Consolidated Graphics (CGX) has signed a letter of intent to acquire Chicago-based RT Associates. RT Associates offers a full suite of marketing campaign management tools, as well as digital and offset printing (including large-format), and fulfillment services.

HOUSTON—Consolidated Graphics (CGX) has installed five Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition digital printers at five of its facilities. The systems were chosen for their versatility, quality and faster turnaround times, which will enable the printer to better meet its customers’ range of design and printing needs.
The five CGX companies that have installed the Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition are The Graphics Group, Dallas; Lincoln Printing in Fort Wayne, IN; Metropolitan Printing in Bloomington, IN; Tewell Warren Printing in Denver; and Precision Litho in Vista, CA.
