The name Copy Craft has been a great brand nationally and locally, but the name became limiting as the company grew to provide new services for its customers. With this in mind, the board of directors met in late 2013 to discuss the future of the company and assessed that in order to grow, a name change was imperative.

Some citizens, including two men that owned different printing businesses, spoke out against the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance for awarding $64,500 in incentives to Copy Craft Printers for an expansion that is expected to add 20 new positions to the company.

Ron Peters, who owns Craftsman Printers, spoke out against the incentive, saying “now all of the sudden, we’ve got a competitor that’s financed with tax money.”

Parks Printing’s founder Don Parks also voiced his displeasure with the incentive. “All of us in our professional and business lives have fierce competitors…and that’s okay, as long as it’s a level playing field.”

The digital publishing services provide customers the ability to convert their printed brochures, catalogs, booklets, flyers and newsletters into a digital format. Available for online ordering, the services include two different file types—interactive Flash and ePub files.

In addition to the original 2x3.5˝ size card, PrintingHQ now offers folded, portfolio, mini, chubby, skinny and square business cards for online ordering. Business card prices are quoted on the company’s Website and include full color, double sided printing.
