It’s no longer a “Kodak moment,” say experts from Rochester Institute of Technology—who discuss the decline, struggles and opportunities for the global industrial and commercial technology giant. Eastman Kodak
Eastman Kodak is in advanced talks with Citigroup Inc. to provide bankruptcy financing as the unprofitable imaging company prepares for a potential filing, said three people familiar with the matter. The stock plunged. Kodak fell 25 percent to 50 cents at 9:42 a.m. New York time, after dropping as much as 30 percent.
Kodak may seek protection from creditors within weeks and then hold an auction to sell its patent portfolio, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the talks are private. Kodak may seek about $1 billion in so-called debtor-in- possession financing, though terms may change,

Under the new structure, Kodak has reduced its number of segments from three to two: the Commercial Segment and the Consumer Segment. Both report into a newly created Chief Operating Office led by Philip Faraci, who will continue to serve as Kodak’s president and chief operating officer, and by Laura Quatela, who was recently named, alongside Faraci, as president and chief operating officer.

Starting a Web-based business four years ago has been the right move for New York-based digital printer Best Value Copy, the online division of Red Rose Document Solutions. As many long-time customers began to discontinue their printed jobs as their jobs migrated to the Web and no longer were being produced on paper, founder Robert Stokvis, and his son Mark Stokvis, vice president of sales and marketing, decided to create an Internet printing company, Best Value Copy, to offset the decline in their traditional print-on-paper business.
