HANOVER PARK, IL—Fujifilm North America, Graphic Systems Division, revealed that Distinct Packabilities, a Shepherdsville, KY-based print provider, has purchased a Graphium digital hybrid, four-color-plus-white UV inkjet press integrated with in-line flexo and finishing, from the show floor at Labelexpo.

PRIMIR to Release Two Studies on Retail Advertising Trends, and Adaptation Strategies for Printing Equipment Manufacturers

Two new research studies will be released by PRIMIR, the research arm of NPES, this fall. The first, "The Future of Retail Advertising," will update findings of a prior PRIMIR report completed in 2005. The second study, "Adaptation Strategies for a Changing Business Environment by Printing Equipment Manufacturers," will provide an analysis of North American business models for manufacturers and importers of printing and postpress equipment.

Brady Corp. Reports Reduction in Processing Time Since Adding Fujifilm's Clarity Water Washable Plates

Brady Corp, a Milwaukee-based identification solutions manufacturer, transitioned to Clarity Water Washable Plates in 2013 after running extensive plate trials. Clarity, which is compatible with Brady’s current CTP imaging equipment, reduces the company's platemaking processing time to less than 40 minutes, is 300 percent faster than leading solvent systems and is 1.5 times faster than current thermal and water technologies.
