The seven-unit press will be installed at Vertis’ direct marketing facility in Chalfont, PA, in late 2010 to drive optimum return on investment for clients through elevated capabilities in customization and tailoring of print communications.

Goss International will highlight differentiating web offset technology as well as unique new options for perfecting, packaging, print finishing and aftermarket Goss Lifetime Support services at GRAPH EXPO 2010.
It will install a new six-unit Goss M-500 press and IWEB finishing system later this year at its Lancaster, OH facility. One of the first printers in the United States to specialize in web offset production with inline finishing, the press is being added to a lineup of 13 heatset web presses already in use at the facility.
A $100,000 job training grant was approved earlier this week for Goss International's expansion into the wind turbine manufacturing market. The $100,000 grant, in addition to a $1.3 million company match, will allow Goss to train 115 workers for the new venture.
Last October, the company worked out a contract with Aeronautica Windpower to produce large nacelle components, an electromechanical component, to their mid-scale wind turbines.
For higher productivity, the Uniliner series is capable of 80,000 copies per hour with a maximum web width on the 4x2 variant of 1900 mm (74.8”).
SHANGHAI, CHINA—Shanghai Electric (SEG) will acquire 100 percent ownership of Goss International next month, exercising an option established when it became a shareholder in the company last September. Goss International President and CEO Jochen Meissner says his organization and SEG share an international outlook and a focus on working with customers to realize innovative, technology-driven solutions.
Goss International is exhibiting alongside SEC to highlight a range of newly allied printing companies and the products in the combined portfolio.
Goss says it will benefit from having an industrial owner with substantial resources and accelerated cooperation among SEG affiliated printing equipment suppliers.
