PRESS:
Picky, picky
October 20, 2008

Picking occurs when small particles are torn from the surface of the paper or when printing stock rips during printing. This can cause damage to the printing blanket. It becomes necessary to wash more frequently, and print quality is adversely affected. Picking becomes a problem when surfaces are not sufficiently resilient.

PRESS:
Try "impression only"
October 20, 2008

Q: We have a Printmaster QM 46-2, and we’re running two-color letterhead on 70# Finch Fine Text. The copy is washing out like there’s too much water. We can get it to print half decent but have to run the press at 5,000 iph. If we switch the paper to almost anything else, including glossy, the problem goes away. The pressman says the water roller pressure is as tight as it goes. Do you have any suggestions?

Thus, sales volume is less than expected for the quarter following drupa trade fair and decreased by 10 percent compared with the same quarter in the previous financial year. Based on orders generated at drupa, Heidelberg had expected a stronger increase in sales in comparison to the first quarter of the current financial year, but recognises significant reluctance to invest in all regions because of the actual economic situation.
