I was enjoying my pastitcio when the conversation turned to Sterling Premium, as it seems to more often than I’d like. In the company of good folks at our local Greek eatery, things had been just fine until that point. I was smothering everything in sight with as many lemons as I could get my hands on, and I’d have been content to discuss anything under the sun. But they wanted to talk Sterling Premium.

After acquiring contiguous space at its current address, Brilliant Graphics is doubling its physical size and installing new equipment. Today, a new six-color Heidelberg XL 106 will be installed, and the company has set up a live streaming video of the process.

Nearly 200 customers and prospects turned out for a series of demonstrations and discussions highlighting the XL 75 Anicolor digital offset press at Heidelberg's North American Print and Packaging Technology Center (Technology Center) in Kennesaw, GA.

Heidelberg is now offering Flexibleservice, a custom-designed service program tailored to the user's business goals and budget, and intended to reduce a company’s overall service costs. For customers that choose Flexibleservice, Heidelberg will develop an individual data plan and service package based on a company’s needs, business goals and budget, including its service record over the preceding three years.

The new buckle plate folders (BH-models) and combination folders (CH-models) from Heidelberg, are available in 56, 66, 78 and 82 centimeter widths. The new machines are targeted to existing Stahlfolder TH/KH customers who are looking for lower cost additional capacity or to customers who are looking for a low cost start in professional folding, in order to be able to ensure added value and quality control in their own production flows.

Marcel Kiessling, a member of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen's executive management board for sales and service, has left the company as part of a mutual agreement. Kiessling joined Heidelberg in 1989 and was responsible for guiding the Americas business from 2004 to 2010.Harald Weimer, president of Heidelberg Americas, has replaced Kiessling on the board in Germany.

Heidelberg USA hosted the annual SkillsUSA Georgia Training Day and competition in Advertising and Design and Graphic Communications at its North American Print and Packaging Technology Center (NAPPTC) in Kennesaw, GA. The SkillsUSA Georgia competition featured both advertising design and graphic communications components. use of three Printmaster QM 46 presses.

The new 29" Heidelberg XL 75 Anicolor digital offset press is now available in the North American market. The press is ideal for commercial, label, package printing and P-O-P applications. On Jan. 29, PrintMediaCentr hosted an hour-long #PrintChat about short-run offset and Heidelberg’s XL 75 Anicolor press.
