Having run older Heidelberg presses for most of its history, AMP Printing and Graphics in Dublin, CA, recently determined it would need to invest in a 10-color Speedmaster XL 106 perfecting press with UV capabilities in order to stay competitive.
360 Press Solutions, a central Texas graphics communications company, has partnered with Heidelberg USA to install an EFI Rastek wide-format inkjet printer. “This latest piece of equipment is game changing. We can now offer our clients printing on substrates that were not available previously in large-format size,” said Jason Tuggle, president.

FetterGroup (Louisville, KY) is installing a Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 75 Anicolor press in a seven-color configuration with aqueous coater to produce uniquely sized decorative labels for its growing list of clients in several highly regulated markets. It needed the medium-sized format of the XL 75 to accommodate the size and quantity of the labels it runs.
In total, Heidelberg received orders for more than 30 presses, almost 40 postpress solutions, and 30 prepress, workflow and CtP solutions from printers based in North America. Printers’ keen interest in the huge range of efficient, productive solutions offered by Heidelberg gave a clear signal that investment confidence is returning to the North American market.
