Church of Scientology Turns to Heidelberg to Add Offset Capabilities

The organization recently completed a series of installations—including press, postpress and software components from Heidelberg—to bring sheetfed offset litho printing in-house at Bridge Publications in Los Angeles. The goal was to increase efficiencies and reduce the costs associated with outsourcing production of its marketing collateral and related materials.

Incoming orders increased to EUR 651 million, compared to EUR 534 million for the previous year. Preliminary sales climbed significantly to EUR 633 million  vs. EUR 499 million. “Expected growth within the strategically important areas of packaging printing, services and consumables, as well as continuing favorable developments in the emerging countries, will additionally support Heidelberg's success,” stated Heidelberg CEO Bernhard Schreier.
