Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has invited print shops across the globe to compete for its international environmental award for sustainable printing in the sheetfed offset sector. The company offers a total prize fund of EUR 50,000 for the award, which is divided into two categories: "Sustainable Companies" and "Forward-looking Solutions."

Susan Nofi, senior vice president, Human Resources and Legal, will assume leadership of Heidelberg’s Print Media Academy (PMA) and Business Consulting unit for North America, in addition to continuing her current duties. Nofi brings more than 20 years of management experience in legal, human resources and organizational development roles.

In keeping with its commitment to help educate and inspire the next generation of young people contemplating a career in the graphic arts, Heidelberg’s Print Media Academy will host "Fit To Print"— an event for high school and college students on Oct. 22. Up to 150 students and faculty will hear from Heidelberg experts on a variety of topics ranging from prepress and color management to lean manufacturing, packaging and MIS.
Heidelberg will now sell, install and service palamides delta automatic delivery systems for its line of Stahlfolder flat-pile, continuous-feed and pallet-fed folding machines, as well as for its Stitchmaster ST 90, ST 100, ST 350 and ST 450 saddlestitchers. The delta is designed to streamline the production process by greatly reducing the amount of time and labor involved in gathering folded or saddle-stitched product onto a skid.
