On the eve of Graph Expo, industry leaders will be inducted into Idealliance’s Soderstrom Society during the Soderstrom Awards Dinner.

FedEx Office has added Canon imagePRESS C700 color digital presses, and HP DesignJet T3500 large-format printers to FedEx stores.

The following is a sampling of just some of the new products that were featured at drupa 2016.

Quad/Graphics' direct mail headquarters in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, received a special guest on Monday. Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker dropped by the facility for an in-depth tour and to see how the facility has become one of the Midwest's leading digital print supercenters. The event drew local television news crews and print reporters who joined with Quad's employees to inspect the plant’s new HP T410 digital inkjet web press.

I’d already been briefed on a lot of drupa 2016 news before I left home so I wasn’t really expecting much to surprise me. I was wrong.

After 11 days at drupa 2016, the 1,837 exhibitors from 54 countries unanimously reported excellent business deals, extremely promising contacts and a positive outlook for the global printing industry. The mood could hardly have been better: the investment climate is extremely good and has by far exceeded all expectations.

Tukaiz has added two HP Latex 3500 high-volume production printers to meet the company’s growing demand for wide-format applications.

At drupa 2016, HP Inc. introduced HP OneBook, a multi-faceted suite of end-to-end workflow solutions for industrial book printing.

B Squared, in New York City, was the brainchild of Tim Boucher and a partner, two opportunists who wanted to be in business for themselves while helping to bridge the gap between designers, printers and customers. The shop opened mere months after 9/11, at a time when certain business in the metro area, including printing, nearly came to a complete halt. But Boucher was fearless and determined to make his mark after years of selling print and reselling Xerox equipment.

At drupa 2016, Harris & Bruno will demonstrate ExcelCoat coaters and a web coater inline with technology from Fujifilm and HP.
