OK, we've all reached the eye-rolling stage whenever the term marketing solutions provider is uttered. It's officially garnered "me, too" status in printing circles, largely because there is no cut and dry definition, no accepted group of criteria to be met.

At GRAPH EXPO 14, Sept. 28-Oct. 1, in Chicago, BDT Media Automation GmbH, a manufacturer of the HP Indigo 10000/30000 feeder systems, will present the BDT feeder TPF-550 LT with alignment. The TPF feeder complies with all demands of higher media variety in digital and postpress printing, and meets customer demand for flexibility, productivity and usability in handling substrates.

Spiral James Burn has secured the rights to HP’s Creative Photo Solutions including Pinchbooks and Silver Lining Mounting Frames, and will begin manufacturing and distributing these products to retailers and channel partners worldwide."The technology developed by HP will enable retailers and channel partners to offer Creative Photo Solutions at a reasonable price, either behind the counter or on the shelf," said Matt Roth, vice president of Spiral James Burn.

When Texas Litho President Rex Chu took over his family's business three years ago, he implemented several changes, along with production manager Matthew Welsh. LAS VEGAS—Digital Lizard, a Creel Printing company, has completed the installation of a new HP Indigo W7250—a photo-quality digital production press available at fewer than 50 commercial providers nationwide. The move marks another milestone in Creel’s ongoing digital growth strategy, having made two acquisitions and a multimillion-dollar investment into facilities and technological development over the last two years.
