The Kennickell Group, a 123-year-old commercial printing firm based in Savannah, GA, has addressed the growing demand of vehicle/bus wraps, and high-end short-run prints, by adding an an HP Latex 360 printer.

To help address the increased customer demand for on-demand variable data output, Spire, a commercial printer based in Boston, has installed an HP T200 Color Inkjet Web Press and an HP Indigo 7600 Digital Press

Last winter, Hewlett Packard conducted a 10-minute online survey at the San Jose State University (SJSU) to measure student preference for e-textbooks and printed version. A total of 527 students were involved in this survey.

Of the 527 respondents, two-thirds of which have used both e-textbooks and printed version, 57 percent said they prefer print. Only 21 percent of those polled favor the e-version. The remaining 21 percent stated that they prefer both formats.

The preference for print was also much higher—at 62 percent—in the 18- to 35-year-old bracket, which account for 75 percent of the respondents.

A mobile print offering from Canon U.S.A., Canon Print Service enables users to print from any Android version 4.4 (KitKat) enabled devices as well as select HP Slate devices to select Canon models. The United States Air Force issued a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement for HP single-function and multifunction printers and consumables for its Digital Printing and Imaging initiative.
