HP will introduce 10 digital printing systems at drupa that offer print service providers greater versatility, productivity and quality, including the first 29" HP Indigo press and higher-speed HP Inkjet Web Presses. The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press is a 29.5x20.9" sheetfed press that prints at speeds of 3,450 sheets per hour in full color, and up to 4,600 sheets per hour in EPM.
HP customers O'Neil Data Systems, Los Angeles, and Paris-based CPI Group, have installed a sixth HP Inkjet Web Press. This marks HP's total installed base to more than 60 inkjet web presses worldwide—with inkjet web press customers now in 11 countries, including the first installation in Latin America.
The new SmartStacker, from Horizon International, has been designed for use with the new HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press, and can be operated in-line with this press or used as a near-line system to serve multiple printing devices.
TULSA, OK—Wide-format printing specialist Meeks Group has installed HP Scitex LX850 and FB700 industrial printers to help improve its productivity, meet environmental demands and diversify the company’s application offerings. Founded in 1961, Meeks is a full-service print provider specializing in vehicle wraps, banners, trade show graphics and point-of-purchase displays.
Vision Integrated Graphics, a full-service marketing solutions provider, has acquired Point Imaging, a national provider of grand-format imaging and installation services. The combined organization has three production facilities and about 235 employees, with annual revenues of approximately $40 million.
O’Neil Data Systems has formally launched its new print, fulfillment and data center in Plano, TX. The 235,000-sq.-ft. location mirrors the company’s Los Angeles operation and boasts the very latest in digital and print technology, including the entire suite of HP Inkjet Web Presses.

The March issue of Harper’s Bazaar arrived at 300,000 subscribers’ homes accompanied by a full-page flier greeting each subscriber by name and urging her to visit specific Neiman Marcus stores within 50 miles. The flier—called an “outsert” in industry jargon—follows a similar effort in Popular Mechanics’ November issue that included an individually personalized outsert promoting HP printers and a 16-page insert pointing readers to HP retailers near their homes.
Harper’s Bazaar and Popular Mechanics are both participating in Project Match, a collaboration between their parent company, Hearst, and HP, which has developed printing technology to enable faster, higher-quality personalized printing.
