Four of the injured—also contract workers—remained in critical condition at a burn center in Augusta, GA. A boiler explosion killed 28-year-old Marcus Broome, who died on the scene of chest injuries. JACKSON, MS—The May 3 explosion at International Paper’s mill in Redwood, MS, has produced a lawsuit from a contract worker who was injured in the boiler blast. The lawsuit, filed by Glen Rankin, 52, names International Paper, several employees and others involved in the manufacture, installation and maintenance of the boiler. Four burn victims remain in critical condition at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Atlanta, according to the Associated Press. Pinwheels for Peace, a global art therapy project founded by two teachers in Florida, was chosen as the ideal venture to teach local children and raise awareness over important global initiatives.
