xpedx has established ambitious goals to recycle 2,400 tons of material in 2011 and reduce its waste by 10 percent annually over the next three years. It is targeting locations that are larger than 50,000 square feet and already has the program established at nearly 70 locations.
“We believe Temple-Inland’s price expectations are unrealistic and their unwillingness to engage in any meaningful discussions with respect to value has left us with no alternative but to make our offer directly to Temple-Inland shareholders,” said International Paper chairman and CEO John Faraci.

The integrating and energizing force behind multi-channel marketing and targeted campaigns that include Internet, e-mail, mobile and social media components is...PRINT! International Paper will consolidate its xpedx, Western Paper and Zellerbach operations in Salt Lake City under the xpedx brand effective April 4, 2011. The company determined that its best strategy for business success is to take full advantage of xpedx’s consistent national brand to increase awareness of all products and services while making them available to all customers.
As part of the competition to promote sustainable business practices in xpedx’ supply chain, MBA students from the Net Impact network will develop a survey and scorecard that xpedx can use to document the sustainability goals and policies of the manufacturers xpedx represents.
