CHANHASSEN, MN—Direct marketing solutions specialist IWCO Direct has installed three Siemens Paramount delivery barcode sorters at its Hamburg, PA, facility. The installation brings the total to five delivery barcode sorters at the facility, which help customers reduce postage costs by commingling mail into common mail trays and are designed to sort the most difficult mail pieces required by today’s leading direct marketers.
Demonstrating its commitment to creating value for direct mail customers in the area of postage optimization and distribution, the company has added three Siemens Paramount delivery barcode sorters at its Hamburg, PA, facility. This installation is the next phase in creating a common production platform across IWCO Direct’s national footprint to allow customers to leverage IWCO Direct’s volume and industry-leading postal strategy to maximize postage savings.

IWCO Direct acquired Mail-Gard as part of its acquisition of the U.S. operations of Transcontinental Direct earlier this year.

The installation brings IWCO Direct's Total Package platform to the Hamburg facility and continues the integration of the U.S. operations of Transcontinental Direct into IWCO Direct's production processes. The acquisition of Transcontinental Direct's U.S. operations was completed in April.
The F.L. Smithe SW and an F.L. Smithe SR converters will support the conversion of approximately 60 million envelopes per month at the Hamburg, PA facility. This installation continues the integration of the U.S. operations of Transcontinental Direct into IWCO Direct's production processes.
