In its half-yearly financial report, KBA said group sales were up 4.5% to €473.2 million and the pre-tax loss was slashed from €47.4 million to €22 million as new orders increased almost 39%.

The national commercial printer, with services ranging from direct mail to packaging, has agreed to purchase a KBA Rapida 106 41˝, six-color, 10-unit sheetfed press including coaters and 12-foot extended delivery.

Press order intake for the first five months of the current business year was almost 23% up on the prior-year figure.
