KBA Introduces Web-based Demonstration and Training Program

KBA North America, a global press manufacturer, has developed a completely unique system to efficiently and economically reach its customers. The company is announcing a new webcam demonstration, training, and application testing program for its current customers and future customers. This new program, available only from KBA, allows printers to sit in the comfort of their office and view a KBA press demonstration in the KBA Customer Care Center in Vermont or experience their very own applications being printed on a KBA press.

PrintFest 2009 Postponed to March 2010

Cal Events today announced its decision to postpone PrintFest 2009. The now named PrintFest 2010 will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, March 26-27, 2010. As in the past, PrintFest 2010 will be combined with the Direct Marketing Expo operated by the DMA of Southern California, continuing its unique position as the first-ever combined print and marketing show and conference, bringing vendors, printers, marketers, creative professionals and print buyers all together under one roof.

KBA Reports 2008 Sales and Profit Targets No Longer Attainable
September 26, 2008

WÜRZBURG, GERMANY—09/26/08—Following a supervisory board meeting to discuss the latest financial figures, Koenig & Bauer AG (KBA) management board announced a downward adjustment in the 2008 earnings forecast issued on 31 March and reaffirmed at the AGM on 19 June in the wake of a highly successful Drupa trade fair. KBA anticipates a slide in group sales for the current financial year (ending 31 December) from €1.6bn to around €1.5bn. Pre-tax earnings, which were originally set to equal last year’s figure of €63.2m, will turn negative in view of a considerable slump in sales of sheetfed presses, provisions for consolidating sheetfed production activities, and adjustments in inventory value.

Shareholders OK Vertis Plan BALTIMORE—Vertis shareholders approved the company’s prepackaged plan of organization. Once the plan becomes effective, Vertis can proceed with its merger with American Color Graphics (ACG).
