Committed to helping its customers use technology to create innovative connections, Colorado-based Vision Graphics installed an eight-color Komori Lithrone G40 (GL840) with an H-UV system. H-UV inks respond to uncoated paper by curing instead of drying like traditional inks, delivering an organic high-gloss appearance. Vision Graphics is the only commercial print provider in its area to offer this capability.
Komori America
Norcross, GA-based Media Graphix has installed its fourth Komori press, a new five-color Lithrone G40 with coater (GL540C). The company chose the Komori GL540C for its ability to efficiently print on a variety of substrates and its sharp print quality.
At GRAPH EXPO 14, Sept. 28-Oct. 1, in Chicago, Komori America will highlight its KomoriKare line of value-added support, including the service programs, press upgrades, press efficiency audits, ancillary equipment and consumables that are helping Komori print providers streamline operations.
Located in New Brighton, MN, Modern Press recently added an H-UV curing system to its six-color Lithrone S40 (LS640). This eco-friendly alternative eliminates the need for venting because it operates in the “non-ozone” wavelength of the UV spectrum.
One of the nation’s largest full-service direct mail production companies, Data-Mail Inc. installed a new six-color Lithrone G40 with H-UV from Komori. The addition has allowed the company to increase production by 60 percent, decrease makeready time by 30 percent and reduce waste by 50 percent.
A stunning example of changing with the times is offered by DISC Graphics, a multimillion-dollar specialty packaging solutions provider with a 200-employee army based in Hauppauge, NY.
