GLENDALE, CA—National trade printer 4over Inc. has purchased two multi-color Komori Lithrone GL40 sheetfed offset presses. 4over Inc. is a print provider with locations in California, Ohio, Texas, Florida, New Jersey, Illinois, Arizona and Mississauga, Canada. The first GL40 press was recently delivered and installed at 4over Inc.’s Moonachie, NJ, facility—a location that is rebounding from the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy. The second press is scheduled for delivery later this year and is expected to be operational in the fall.
Skinner & Kennedy prints a variety of calendars and other promotional products that often require fast turnaround of orders that can range from 1,000 to 50,000 finished pieces. The 29˝, four-color Spica offset perfecting press replaced two older Komori Sprint presses.
There were only four offset presses actually running at GRAPH EXPO last month, but the leading vendors still had booths on the show floor. Video presentations, interactive displays, print samples, and standalone press consoles or press units were instead used to showcase new developments, enhanced maintenance offerings and press monitoring services.
