ANN ARBOR, MI—Edwards Brothers Malloy announced that it has acquired a Ricoh InfoPrint 5000 continuous-feed inkjet press for its digital print center here. The press will be installed this month, with full production planned for November. Capable of running one- to four-color text, the press claims to provide significant speed and price advantages over traditional short-run offset and digital toner printing.

ANN ARBOR, MI—In an effort to reduce excess offset manufacturing capacity and to free up resources to invest in digital manufacturing, Edwards Brothers Malloy announced that it is consolidating its two manufacturing plants here, located seven miles apart, into one facility. The State Street plant offset operation will be moved to the company’s other offset facility located on Jackson Road in Ann Arbor, with some equipment also being moved to its facility in Lillington, NC. The State Street property will be put on the market.

Edwards Brothers Malloy received a 2013 Business Leadership Award from the American Forest & Paper Association for its paper recycling efforts. The company's Jackson Road plant in Ann Arbor, MI, is a zero landfill facility and its other facilities use, reuse or recycle 97.5 percent of all incoming materials.
