For the second time in less than three years, Allied Litho, one of the Midwest’s premier package printers, has purchased a manroland Roland 900 six-color press with UV coater—this time the 56" version. The company has been experiencing rapid growth with the purchase of a 73" Roland 900 XXL six-color press with UV coater 30 months ago.
In the economic history of Offenbach, the Roland name occupies a prominent position. The first Roland model printing press left the original factory located here 100 years ago this year. More than 1,000 trade visitors from all over the world are expected to attend the Sheetfed Summit 2011, which will run from May 16-20, 2011, at the manroland Offenbach Print Technology Center. Value-added printing for improved business and production processes will be the focus.

On the stand shared by manroland, Océ and ppi Media, the advantages of offset were united with the strengths of digital printing. Here, trade visitors were able to follow a simulated ordering procedure for the tour operator Manpower Eventreisen that combined both printing processes.
