The next time you walk into a Bed Bath & Beyond, take a look at the framed art prints. Odds are a good portion of those prints came from Wild Apple Graphics and were likely produced on a MGI Meteor DP60 Pro digital press.
Two of MGI’s newest digital innovations were among the 29 Must See ’em winners—the Meteor DP8700 XL and the JETcard, both honored in the Digital Press category. The company recorded strong equipment sales at the show and hundreds of qualified leads.
MGI Digital Graphic Technology has two new products that will make their North American debut at GRAPH EXPO (booth 3619): the Meteor DP8700 XL four-color multi-substrate digital press and the JETcard inkjet card factory.

KBR Graphics Canada, a major supplier of printing equipment throughout Ontario and Quebec, has installed a new MGI Meteor DP60 PRO digital press with XL format at Flash Reproductions, an award-winning full-service print shop in Toronto.
The Meteor DP8700 XL will make its North American debut at GRAPH EXPO 2011, to be held on Sept. 11-14 at McCormick Place in Chicago (booth 3619). It features increased production speed for up to 4,260 A4/letter pages per hour and up to 2,280 A3 pages per hour.
When the decision was made to acquire a digital press, President Nolan Pointer and Vice President Tim Pointer started a thorough investigation of the digital presses on the market. The MGI Meteor DP60 Pro was chosen for its high-quality printing, range of sheet sizes and multiple substrate capabilities.
The On Demand Conference and Exposition in Washington, DC, felt more like a conference with an exhibit hall, rather than a trade show with an education track. Much of the show floor had the feel of the tabletop displays at Seybold Conferences.
Utilizes blank cards, the JETcard provides card manufacturers with an all-inclusive printing solution. Its the worldwide launch will take place at Cards Asia (booth 4F01), to be held in Singapore on April 13-15, 2011.
