The Meteor DP8700 XL+ digital press from MGI Digital Graphic Technology, will be demonstrated at Agfa Graphics' two-day Open House event at the company's facility in Salt Lake City on Sept. 30th and Oct. 1st, 2015. "The Meteor DP8700 XL+ digital press offers the largest cut sheet size (up to 47" in production) with offset quality for an impressive total cost of operation," said Deborah Hutcheson, director of marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America.

Following a battle with cancer, Emile Tabassi, North American director of sales and communications for MGI USA, passed away on February 7, 2015. He was 64. Tabassi joined the MGI USA team in 2011 after spending 21 years at AGFA Corp. as sales and marketing manager.

We've canvassed a handful of printers who stray a bit from the beaten path to get their take on the effectiveness of embellishments. One of the more comprehensive embellishers we came across is Worthington, MN-based Bedford Industries, which debuted in 1966 as a wire twist-tie manufacturer. The firm has blossomed in a number of different solutions for bundling, identification tags, converting technology, packaging reclosures and its trademark ElastiTag product line.
