2014 has been a successful year for MGI Digital Graphic Technology JETvarnish 3D users, bringing in over eight esteemed awards worldwide. MGI user Steve Hatlem, president of Sipe Steel Rule Die located in Fort Wayne, IN, brought home two 2014 FSEA Gold Leaf Awards, while Mark Resnick, owner of The Printer’s Edge in Orlando, FL, received multiple awards from the 2014 FSEA Gold Leaf Awards and a Flamingo Award from the Print Association of Florida for 'Best Special Treatment' with his JETvarnish 3D.
Blase Ciabaton, owner of Naples Print Source in Naples, FL, has chosen to add a MGI Meteor DP8700 XL digital press because of its 'no-click charge' model and the flexibility to work with different substrates. Prior to having the Meteor XL, Ciabato said that Naples had to outsource full-color envelopes and run addresses separately.
The Pack Experts Committee awarded MGI's iFOIL with the Innovation Award at the 2014 Emballage Packaging Exhibition. This year, 1,500 exhibitors submitted over 208 innovative products, and the top eight entries were given this prestigious award. Working in-line with the JETvarnish 3D, the iFOIL uses a revolutionary 100 percent digital process to create embossed hot foil effects.

This year's Graphics of the Americas will be held Feb. 26 - 28, 2015, at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, FL. At SGIA 2014 next week in Las Vegas, Agfa Graphics will demonstrate several systems from MGI Digital Graphic Technology, now that Agfa has become the national distributor for MGI products in the United States. The Agfa Graphics portfolio now includes such MGI products as the Meteor DP8700 XL+, the JETvarnish 3D and the iFOIL.
After purchasing an MGI JETvarnish 3D digital spot UV coater at GRAPH EXPO 12, Northern Ohio Printing continues to feel its success. "There has been an increased demand for specialty prints and we now have the ability to capture this audience," said Gary Chmielewski, president.

Agfa Graphics North America has been appointed as a national distributor for MGI Digital Graphic Technology's line of products in the United States. "MGI’s portfolio of products perfectly complements all of our market segments including commercial printing, packaging and sign and display printing," said Peter Wilkens, president of Agfa Graphics, North America.
