M13 Graphics, a retail design and printing company, recently invested in a Mitsubishi Diamond 3000S sheetfed press with hybrid UV and aqueous coating capabilities. The printer bills $7 million in annual sales, with its services primarily sold on the Internet.

Among the innovations to be demonstrated in the Mitsubishi exhibit area (Hall 6, Stand B79) will be the ecoUV drying system and Diamond Eye-S inline quality control system. These new systems will run on a five-color Diamond V3000LS sheetfed press.
HOT, a $5+ million commercial printer, is getting off to a great start in 2012 with the installation of two Mitsubishi 40" sheeted presses—a 10-color Diamond 3000R convertible perfector and a six-color Diamond 3000S. It plans to retire three presses.
The installation of a Mitsubishi Diamond 3000R sheetfed press has had an immediate impact on the quality and volume of work produced by Foresight Group in Lansing, MI. It replaced a four-color, 26" perfector and a six-color, 28" straight press with coater purchased from other manufacturers.
Coral Color Process, located in Commack, NY, has purchased a Diamond V3000LX with in-line ultraviolet coating capabilities. The shop already operates an eight-color and two six-color Mitsubishi sheetfed presses, all equipped with aqueous coating units. In addition to offering a larger sheet size, the news press accommodates a wider stock thickness range.

Recent purchases expanded Watkins Lithographic’s equipment lineup to include two 40" Mitsubishi convertible perfectors. “We were looking to differentiate Watkins Lithographic from every other printer in town,” said Eddy Watkins, president. The $10 million company specializes in high-resolution printing for clients in the insurance, financial, pharmaceutical and greeting card industries.

The Diamond 3000LX sheetfed press is the third eight-color, 40" model Smyth Companies has purchased from Mitsubishi. It is being installed this month at the label printer’s plant in Bedford, VA, to accelerate job turnaround.
MLP U.S.A. will move its corporate headquarters to Hunt Valley, MD, which is just north of the city of Baltimore. It will be located in a facility that houses the Corrugating Machinery Div. of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America.
