Mohawk Fine Papers
Mohawk has introduced a new campaign designed to support an emerging maker culture and three new supporting publications enhanced with additional content made possible through Mohawk Live, Mohawk’s new augmented reality mobile app.
The new Mohawk Live app was specifically designed to enhance materials printed on Mohawk fine paper, connecting the high-touch medium of paper with the high-tech experience of augmented reality. The app provides seamless integration of print with dynamic, interactive content, transforming a one-dimensional image to a multidimensional experience featuring 3D images, videos, photos, infographics and animations.
In a world where information is transmitted digitally, print mediums have been in decline. For decades, Mohawk Fine Papers' flagship paper was super-fine, a high-quality paper tailored for use on high-end art prints and books.
While the mill still produces such traditional papers for those end uses, Mohawk has been able to successfully market its super-fine to online end users.
Mohawk was able to find this new market by creating a new strategy—instead of waiting for business to find them, they have been seeking new and innovative ways to find and create demand.
