Muller Martini
Supported by a large U.S. contingent, Muller Martini product specialists and sales representatives will be on hand to participate in drupa, the world’s largest printing equipment exhibition, taking place in Düsseldorf, Germany, on May 3-16, 2012.
Due to the expected heavy turnout of U.S.-based attendees to this year’s drupa, Muller Martini plans to send a strong contingent from its U.S. headquarters to meet and greet booth visitors. Leading the team of product and sales specialists will be Muller Martini US President and CEO Werner Naegeli and Vice President of Sales Carrington Herbert.
HP will introduce 10 digital printing systems at drupa that offer print service providers greater versatility, productivity and quality, including the first 29" HP Indigo press and higher-speed HP Inkjet Web Presses. The HP Indigo 10000 Digital Press is a 29.5x20.9" sheetfed press that prints at speeds of 3,450 sheets per hour in full color, and up to 4,600 sheets per hour in EPM.
drupa will see a host of new perfect binder entries all designed to smooth the finishing workflow for both inkjet- and toner-based digital presses. All of these machines can either run in-line with the press, or in a near-line configuration.
Muller will present the latest machinery from all of its business divisions, including variable size web offset printing presses, saddle stitchers, perfect binders, hardcover systems, newspaper mailroom systems, as well as “crossover” systems for digital book production. Muller’s worldwide representatives, including a strong U.S. contingent, will be on hand in Hall 14, C21 to meet visitors and clients and demonstrate the latest offerings in print finishing.
In its 22,000-plus square-foot booth, Muller Martini will showcase 10 machines representing all of its business divisions: variable-size web offset printing presses, saddle stitchers, perfect binders, hardcover systems, newspaper mailroom systems, as well as systems for modern digital book production.
The Diamant MC has had considerable success in the United States. Seven MC lines have been sold supporting a wide range of applications, including yearbooks, juvenile products, adult trade, and digital photo books.

NEWPORT NEWS, VA—Printing equipment manufacturer Muller Martini will reduce its workforce here by nearly 100 employees as it winds down book binding and mailroom equipment operations, the Daily Press reported.
