ARLINGTON, TX—Authentic Press, a waterless printing company based here, changed hands recently. Chris Groff, the owner of Complete Technology Concepts (CTC), a Fort Worth, TX, telephony, networking and cabling company, has purchased Authentic Press. In addition to the new ownership, Groff has made several changes to the company's equipment, employees and location. He has purchased a new 40˝ Komori waterless press, which is scheduled to arrive in March. In addition to the purchase of the new press, he has added two new employees. Lewis Henderson has been named general manager of K/P Corp.'s Kent, WA-based mailing and fulfillment facility. Henderson brings 15 years of experience in fulfillment, marketing and management to his new position. DALLAS—Padgett Printing announced it has added new equipment to allow it to address its clients' prepress, printing and mailing needs. Among the new equipment is an eight-color Heidelberg four-over-four perfector press with the latest console technology, a 28x40˝ sheet folder with trimming and perforating capabilities, and ink-jet addressing and tabbing capabilities to handle customer mailing requirements, allowing ink-jet printing at up to 600 dpi with 3˝ heads. IRVINE—Orange County Printing has installed a six-color, 40˝ Komori Lithrone press outfitted with a Tri-Service ColorCommand temperature control/cooling system. VAN NUYS—The installation of the Sentinel ink management system from Accel Graphic Systems is complete at Great Western Litho. The ink management system is now equipped on a Komori Lithrone 640 press purchased at PRINT 01. CONNECTICUT MERIDEN—Three former shareholders of Vision Graphics have joined commercial printer Miller-Johnson Inc. They are Tom Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell and Erik Mitchell. Chris Breault has been named vice president of sales for the Banta Book Group, Western region. He is headquartered out of Banta's Santa Clara, CA, office. Breault brings five years of experience as a senior sales executive in Banta's Western region. John Wetzel has been hired as sales director for Payne Printery, Dallas. Previously, Wetzel established J.L. Printech, a commercial printing brokerage firm. As president, he directed all sales and marketing, and personally called on all key accounts. Mark E.
