EVANS, GA—Two employees of a Quad/Graphics plant here were treated and released from a local hospital following a flash fire in one of the presses on Sept. 17, The Augusta Chronicle reported.

Two employees at a Quad/Graphics Evans, GA, printing plant were hospitalized last week after a flash fire in one of the presses.

Claire Ho, the director of corporate communications at the company’s Wisconsin headquarters, said workers followed the proper response procedures and the plant’s fire suppression system worked to quickly extinguish the fire.

NEW YORK—QuadMed, a provider of onsite primary care clinics and health care management solutions, announced the opening of a Corporate Health Suite in midtown Manhattan. Created in 1990 as a subsidiary of Quad/Graphics, QuadMed now serves a variety of Fortune 1000 companies.

A new concept in healthcare from QuadMed offers personalized services to employees at their place of employment, keeping them healthy and driving down costs at the same time. The newest Corporate Health Suite is located within Quad/Graphics’ sales and premedia office.

The local owner of Quad/Graphics Inc.’s new facility in New Berlin, WI, has sold the property to a Boston real estate company, but the transaction will have no effect on Quad/Graphics’ lease.

Quad/Graphics said it would employ 150 people there, 125 of them new hires and 25 transferred from a facility in Pewaukee, WI.

A Quad/Graphics spokeswoman told The Business Journal that its lease will stay in place with the ownership change.

SUSSEX, WI—Quad/Graphics Inc. reported results for its second quarter ending June 30. The reported results include Vertis from the day of acquisition on Jan. 16. Prior year financial results do not include the acquisition of Vertis.
