Baldwin Technology has acquired QuadTech Inc. from its parent company, Quad/Graphics. With this acquisition, Baldwin adds all of QuadTech’s technology and strategic locations across the Americas, Europe, China, Japan and India. Baldwin will strategically unite QuadTech with two of its existing divisions - Web Printing Controls and PC Industries - creating a global platform that will operate as Baldwin Vision Systems.

After 11 days at drupa 2016, the 1,837 exhibitors from 54 countries unanimously reported excellent business deals, extremely promising contacts and a positive outlook for the global printing industry. The mood could hardly have been better: the investment climate is extremely good and has by far exceeded all expectations.

QuadTech, a subsidiary of Quad/Graphics, will present a broad range of solutions for improving print quality, increasing profit margins and reducing waste for packaging converters, commercial and newspaper printers at its booth during GRAPH EXPO 14 in Chicago, Sept. 28- Oct. 1.

QuadTech has formed a partnership with the Gallus Group to provide closed-loop color control and color measurement systems for its offset, flexo and gravure presses. Utilizing QuadTech technology, Gallus customers can quicken makeready and offer ultimate print quality and productivity, with inline color management.

The TouchRegister module can be added on to QuadTech's Web Viewing System to enhance print quality and productivity. The system enables fast and accurate register setting for CI flexo presses.

As the exclusive North American distributor of Digital Information’s InkZone ink-presetting and closed-loop technology, CMYK Distributors will be demonstrating the latest advances in waste reduction technology and pressroom automation at their booths, 969 and 970, at PRINT 13 in Chicago.

QuadTech will exhibit its color and inspection technology at Converting and Package Printing Expo (CPP), co-located with PRINT 13, at booth 2472. Under the theme of "The Power of Better,” QuadTech offers packaging, commercial and newspaper print markets an extensive range of automated press controls that improve performance, productivity and output.

QuadTech Inc. has asked the U.S. District Court (Eastern District of Pennsylvania) to dismiss one of the lawsuits it filed against Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC), while at the same time continuing legal action on a separate deceptive advertising lawsuit.

SUSSEX, WI—QuadTech Inc. and Print2Finish announced they have reached an out-of-court amicable settlement of the claims and counter-claims pending between them in the case of Quad/Tech Inc. vs. Q.I. Press Controls B.V., et. al. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
