HEIDELBERG, GERMANY—Ricoh Co. and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) announced a global strategic cooperation, starting with a global distribution contract for Ricoh’s Production Printing Product portfolio.

The agreement enables Heidelberg to sell Ricoh’s latest color digital press, the Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition, as well as appropriate future production printing offerings. It will start in April 2011, beginning with the United Kingdom and Germany markets.

This agreement enables Heidelberg to sell Ricoh’s latest color digital press, the Ricoh Pro C901 Graphic Arts Edition, as well as appropriate future production printing offerings in Ricoh’s pipeline.
Ricoh plans to invest $300 million over three years in its global Managed Document Services (MDS) infrastructure. Its holistic, vendor-agnostic approach to information, infrastructure and process management will be further enhanced as Ricoh accelerates the delivery of a suite of cloud-type tools.
