Since installing a Rollem Auto 4 numbering system, the City of Spokane's in-plant can now do numbering for a variety of print jobs, including forms for the parks and recreation department and booklets for various city agencies.

Rollem International teamed with MCS Inc. to demonstrate the in-line capabilities of the Jetstream 2D System for maximum productivity on postcard production. Utilizing the Rollem feeder, the eight-up postcard sheets were fed, personalized, UV coated, edge-trimmed and slit in two directions to deliver 100% accurate 5.5 x 8.5˝ postcards.

Elk River Systems, located in Harlowton, MT, has installed a Rollem Jetstream to improve quality and increase production for its top selling event tickets and pre-perforated paper. The Jetstream two-directional system cuts and perforates in one process with 100% accuracy.

Rollem International announced the following new print finishing installations for August 2011.

GRAPH EXPO 2011 was the location of the new JetSlit 2-D Slitting system preview featured in-line with the new 26” Xerox iGen4 digital color press. JetSlit features new 9” diameter cutting heads designed for the highest quality cutting output.

To accommodate a large increase in digitally printed pieces, the in-plant at Grace Community Church, in Arleta, Calif., has replaced its friction-fed perforating/scoring/slitting machine with a new air-fed 24˝ Rollem ETR Champion. It boasts a more sophisticated guiding system and a deep pile feeder that handles stacks up to 30˝ deep.

Grace Community Church in Arleta, CA has purchased a Rollem 24” ETR. It now has the ability to keep all of its offset and digital finishing in-house.

Rollem International announced the following new print finishing installations: Foxfire Printing in Newark, DE, has added a new 24” SH Rollaway to their equipment for increased capacity.

Though digital printing equipment made the biggest splash at the On Demand Conference and Exposition in March, the Washington, D.C. show was chock full of bindery equipment too. IPG visited all of the major bindery vendors. Here's a look at what we saw.
