Sterling Publishing awarded a multi-year agreement to RR Donnelley. Under the terms of the agreement, RR Donnelley will provide warehousing, distribution and book fulfillment services. Headquartered in New York City, Sterling Publishing is a publisher of nonfiction titles, with more than 5,000 books in print.
The Indian publishing arm of RR Donnelley & Sons Co., RR Donnelley Publishing India, has suspended production at its manufacturing plant in Sriperumbudur, India, due to lack of orders. The facility exclusively supplied printed products for cellphone manufacturer Nokia.
RR Donnelley filed notice with the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development that it will be shutting down its plant in Nashville, TN, a closure that will impact 133 employees. The Nashville facility was among the holdings Donnelley acquired when it acquired Moore Wallace in 2004.

RR Donnelley & Sons (RRD) and Courier Corp. jointly announced today that they have signed a definitive agreement by which RR Donnelley will acquire Courier Corp., a leader in digital printing, publishing and content management in the United States specializing in educational, religious and trade books. The agreement has been approved by each company’s Board of Directors.
