Life is good for Southeastern in Stuart, FL; so good, in fact, that in mid-January, Don Mader, Southeastern's president and CEO, broke out the cake and champagne a year early to celebrate. The actual occasion was the rebranding of the company, from Southeastern Printing to Southeastern, with the tag line "Complexity Made Simple." According to Mike McGuire, account executive, the move was a by-product of a cultural revolution that had been developing for the past couple of years.

Southeastern Printing (Stuart, FL) has acquired the assets of SCP Graphics in Boca Raton, FL, and formed a new company called SEP Communications. SEP’s primary focus will be to provide Web-to-print storefront programs for specific corporations and organizations.

Southeastern Printing's new wide-format division will focus on the creative aspects of point-of-purchase, indoor and outdoor signage, art decorum, trade show graphics and novelty printing. Along with this new division, the company has also invested in a UV flatbed inkjet printer, and a new CNC cutter/routing table.
Franklin Communications in Miami received the coveted Golden Flamingo Award, presented each year to the company that wins the most first-place awards. Awards were presented to 50 Florida-based printing, graphic arts companies and schools.
