Menasha Packaging announced that it has acquired Strine Printing of York, PA. Both companies are family-owned. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The York Dispatch also reported that Menasha Packaging has no plans to reduce the employee ranks at Strine Printing.

NEENAH, WI—Menasha Packaging will not be reducing the head count at Strine Printing, the York, PA-based firm it acquired on March 31, according to the York Dispatch. All 325 employees will keep their jobs, Menasha Vice President of Marketing Dennis Bonn told the newspaper.
Following a recent acquisition, company executives said no job cuts are anticipated at Strine Printing. The printing business was acquired March 31 by Menasha Packaging, a Wisconsin-based company with more than 3,600 employees and 40 locations nationwide.
The 325 employees at Strine Printing will keep their jobs, said Dennis Bonn, vice president of marketing for Menasha.
The acquisition will strengthen Menasha's operations on the East Coast, company President Mike Waite said in a press release.
Significant transactions were announced throughout the spectrum of packaging technologies in March, from the basics—paper making for packaging products, to the sophisticated—global management of brand identity at multiple print providers across the globe, many using different printing technologies.

YORK, PA—Workers at Strine Printing were evacuated Wednesday after a contract worker needed to be treated for carbon monoxide poisoning, The York Dispatch reported. No one else showed signs of exposure, and employees were allowed to return to work about 30 minutes later.
