The panel was unanimous in voting The John Roberts Co., based in Minneapolis, the most sustainably managed print shop. Michael Keene, CEO, accepted the €30,000 prize. Some 45 companies from 19 countries on four continents submitted entries.

Printing Industries of America proudly announces the recipients of the 2010 Best Workplace in the Americas Awards. A total of 36 graphic arts companies, both members of Printing Industries of America and non-members, were selected by a committee of distinguished human resources experts from within the industry.
Elected were Michael Keene of John Roberts Co, chairman of the board; Laura Lawton-Forsyth of Lawton Printing, first vice chairman; Timothy J. Burton of Burton & Mayer Inc., second vice chairman; Jeff Ekstein of Willow Printing Group, secretary; and Hal Slager of Trico Graphics, treasurer.

Overall, the accreditation program has 168 criteria to examine. Applicants must pass all the required elements (55) and 75% of the supplemental elements (113).
