The Sheridan Group has released Sheridan Select, a next generation publishing solution for managing offset and digitally produced books and journals. “The Sheridan Select system is a true central product management solution, allowing publishers to efficiently manage a print continuum from digital to offset, to POD and distribute-and-print,” said John Saxton, president and CEO at The Sheridan Group.

The American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) is partnering with The Sheridan Group to develop an e-commerce solution that would allow the organization to sell both electronic and print books directly to consumers in time for its annual conference.

NAPL will honor the late Dean E. Hanisko (Great Lakes Integrated) during ceremonies at its annual Soderstrom Society Awards program on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012. Hanisko, who passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 2, had served as a member of NAPL’s Board of Directors since 2004.

Saxton will be honored at NAPL’s annual Soderstrom Society dinner on Oct. 6 at the Mid America Club in Chicago, one night before the start of Graph Expo.

The Sheridan Group has expanded its Electronic Content Services (ECS) commerce platforms to allow integration with Sheridan’s Print-on-Demand (POD) system, Journal Anthology support, and the ability to auto-import multiple titles into the system. File conversion services, encryption using digital rights management, and the ability to streamline eBook and publication distribution to online retail partners (i.e., Amazon, Barnes & Noble, etc.) are options offered through Sheridan’s ECS.
