Ray Scholler, longtime owner, CEO and chairman of Times Printing and a 2002 inductee into the Printing Impressions/RIT Printing Industry Hall of Fame, passed away Sunday at the age of 97. Times Printing was founded by Mr. Scholler's parents, Henry and Flora, as a community newspaper. Ray and his wife, Bernice (who passed away in May of 2014) expanded the company's scope and grew it into one of the largest printers in the United States.

Printing Industries of America (PIA) has announced the recipients of the 2013 Best Workplace in the Americas Awards. Entries are judged on the following criteria: management practices, work environment, training and development, recognition and rewards, workplace health and safety, health and wellness, financial security and work-life balance.

A total of 27 graphic arts companies, both members of Printing Industries of America and non-members, were selected by a committee of distinguished human resources experts from within the industry. The program is designed to recognize graphic arts companies for their outstanding human relations efforts which contribute to a successful workplace.
Since 2000, Printing Industries of America has honored the best places to work in the graphic arts industry with annual awards. The Best Workplace in the Americas Awards is one of the most stringent human resources awards programs available in any industry.
Times Printing of Random Lake, WI, will mark its 95th anniversary on May 1, 2013. The company is reportedly one of the oldest family-owned companies in the state of Wisconsin. “This anniversary is very special to our family, but especially to my dad, Ray Scholler, who has been here the entire 95 years to see the company grow from a weekly community newspaper to one of the top 100 printers in the country,” said Jack Scholler, president of Times Printing.
