Transcontinental’s revenues increased 2 percent in the third quarter of 2011, from $481.3 million to $492.6 million, driven primarily by the Printing sector. Adjusted operating income was flat at $57.2 million, while the adjusted operating income margin slightly decreased from 11.9 percent to 11.6 percent.
State-of-the-art equipment from Transcontinental Litho Acme will be transferred to Transcontinental Direct Montreal and the production teams from the two units will be combined. The positions of some 30 employees out of a total workforce of 335 will be eliminated.
