West-Camp Press in Columbus, OH, has added its second roll-to-roll EFI VUTEk GS5000r superwide-format UV inkjet printer. The two VUTEk GS5000r printers are the only such systems installed in Ohio, and give the company the ability it needs to provide the signage production capacity to meet increasing demand from retailers and other businesses West-Camp serves.
WESTERVILLE, OH—West-Camp Press acquired Central Ohio Graphics in a deal completed earlier this month, according to Columbus Business First. The combined firms have more than 100 employees, the newspaper said, and fewer than 10 Central Ohio Graphics employees lost their jobs due to redundancies.
West-Camp Press Inc. said it closed a deal this month to buy the Columbus company for an undisclosed sum. CEO Ed Evans said the transaction combines West-Camp’s two offices with Central Ohio Graphic’s headquarters on West Fifth Avenue to form an operation of more than 100 employees.
Evans declined to disclose revenue projections for the combined company but said West-Camp prior to the acquisition generated more revenue than Central Ohio Graphics, which reported sales of $10.8 million for 2009. He expects the bigger company to be more attractive to customers whose needs have expanded beyond printing.
WESTERVILLE, OH—Managers Ed Evans and David Marsh have acquired West-Camp Press from its retiring president, Glenn Gornall. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Evans, the company’s sales and marketing manager, has taken the helm of CEO while ex-plant manager Marsh is now chairman and president. Gornall will still serve on the company’s advisory board. Evans told Business First of Columbus that the company’s goal is to improve its marketing and to spark top-line growth. With 85 employees, West-Camp Press provides sheetfed and digital printing. It produces, among other things, brochures, catalogs, annual reports, collateral and marketing materials. West-Camp Press was created by the 1961
