According to The Imaging Supplies Coalition, the estimated impact of counterfeiting in the imaging supplies industry is more than $3 billion annually worldwide. As a member of the Coalition, Xerox works with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to combat illegal activities in this industry.

NORWALK, CT—Xerox Corp. is eliminating two call centers in Oregon, which will leave 300 employees without jobs, the Portland Business Journal reported. The impacted facilities are located in Coos Bay and North Bend.
About 300 people will lose their jobs as Xerox eliminates two Oregon call centers. The Norwalk, CT-based document management company disclosed through a notice filed under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act that it is closing its customer care centers in Coos Bay and North Bend.
In an e-mailed statement, Xerox attributed the decision to close the centers to a "change in the client's strategy and business conditions that have made it necessary to consolidate business units."

Domtar Corp. has signed an agreement to acquire Xerox's paper and print media products business in the United States and Canada. Xerox will continue to manufacture, sell and support its broad range of consumables, such as toner and ink, and Xerox Replacement Cartridges. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2013, subject to customary closing conditions.
