xpedx has named Rick Burdick vice president of sales - Print, reporting to Dan Watkoske, executive vice president, sales. In his new position, Burdick will have lead responsibility for the Print sales channels and national customer solutions, and he will lead the Print sales organization in achieving profitable marketplace growth.
CINCINNATI—Printing industry distributor xpedx, a business of International Paper, will immediately begin offering 3M wide-format print display and graphics products throughout the United States as part of its growing wide-format program.
xpedx’ offerings will include 3M’s digital print media, flexible substrates, graphic protection and application tapes and tools, giving commercial and in-plant businesses the products necessary to produce digitally-imaged point-of-purchase signage, floor and counter graphics, wide-format display graphics and more.

xpedx has exceeded its goal of earning the Energy Star in eight large distribution locations within the United States by the end of 2011. In September, its locations in Cincinnati, OH, and Hebron, KY, achieved the certification, making them the eighth and ninth xpedx locations to do so.

Donel Autin has been named Chief Financial Officer of xpedx, which is a business of International Paper. Steve Bowden has been named executive vice president, marketing and strategy, xpedx, and will continue as a member of the xpedx Senior Lead Team.
xpedx has established ambitious goals to recycle 2,400 tons of material in 2011 and reduce its waste by 10 percent annually over the next three years. It is targeting locations that are larger than 50,000 square feet and already has the program established at nearly 70 locations.
