Are you making the most of LinkedIn polls?
I took this screenshot of a poll I made on LinkedIn after it had been posted for a few days. I think you’ll agree that the results are pretty impressive, with over 5,000 views, 46 votes, and 69 comments.
The LinkedIn algorithm likes polls at the moment and promotes them more heavily than other types of posts. But it’s not just about the numbers.
There are several other advantages in using polls
Firstly, I am still getting good traction from this poll days after I posted it. People are still seeing my profile. I don’t need to create regular posts.
Next, I see who is interested in a subject and what their views on it are. By clicking on the “46 votes” I get to see who has voted and what their response is.
Finally, many people who vote or comment are potential prospects. I know who is seeing what I am writing and who engages with it. Many people who press a vote button might not take the time to write a comment.
