Meet Tess
She is a very cute but very grumpy tabby who always needs feeding! To be honest, she doesn’t look like the sort of feline that helps a business. Especially because she is good at distracting me and has also been known to meow loudly during business calls!
Tess can help when I need to sort my thoughts out
Sometimes I am faced with a problem and I am not sure what to do. My number one tactic in this sort of situation is to talk to someone.
My long-suffering wife has heard many business issues! She is not a printing industry expert. But she does give excellent advice. However, often when I have finished explaining things to her, I already know what I need to do.
Sometimes the very act of talking forces you to clarify what it is that you are trying to solve. Just putting your jumbled thoughts into words can clarify your mind. So often I talk to my wife and I know the answer when I have finished asking the question.
But sometimes my wife is not around. Talking to Tess can have the same effect. I tell her the issue I am trying to solve. Just by verbalizing my thoughts, the solution comes to me.
If you are struggling with a difficult issue, try speaking out loud
Talk to a colleague, a friend or a family member. Talk to your cat, your dog or any other pet. But if you need someone who answers back and has printing industry experience, try talking to me!
My new one-hour coach spots are an ideal chance to run something by me. I’m not a part of your company so I may see things in a different way. I can certainly help you order your thoughts. And I can manage all time zones!
