The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) plans to close its regional printing plant here this month and contract the printing of its newspaper, along with the weekly Barron’s, to The Des Moines Register, that paper reported. The current WSJ plant, which employs 25 people, produced editions for a four-state area.

Agfa Graphics announced today that Davies Printing, a third-generation commercial printer located in Rochester, MN, has been able to expand its products and services thanks to the addition of the Anapurna M UV-inkjet printing system.
BYRON, MN—Schmidt Printing, a web printing business owned by Taylor Corp., of North Mankato, MN, is implementing a $5 million investment campaign that sees the company adding as many as 30 new jobs, according to the Rochester (MN) Post-Bulletin. Among the equipment being installed are a new press and a collating machine.
