We are just one month out from PRINTING United – the most expansive, action-packed tradeshow event in the printing industry. Opening its doors in Dallas on October 23, vendors have lined up to showcase the latest solutions in commercial, apparel, wide-format, packaging, functional printing, in-plant printing, and more. If you’ve been following along, we’ve outlined five weeks’ worth of new technology that will be shown at PRINTING United. And there’s still so much more to come.
Here’s this week’s installation of news you can use when walking the show floor at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center:

There are plenty of roll to roll printers around, but swissQprint’s Karibu seems to be unique among them. This new printer has its debut at the PRINTING United in booth 8845. The Light Box is located conveniently right next to the printing area for immediate quality control of backlits. The fully integrated Mesh Kit makes full bleed and mesh printing a clean business. The dual roll option doubles productivity by processing two rolls parallel. And, a new output software enables adjustment post RIP.
The WeLase is an all new, all-in-one laser engraving station by Gravograph (Booth 400). No assembly is required. Users can simply unpack it and start engraving. The WeLast can handle text, vector files, drawings, or photos. Four laser technologies are offered (Green, Fiber, Hybrid, and CO2), for use on a variety of materials. The sleek and compact design allows for easy integration into many different environments. Three transparent viewing windows allow users to see the laser in action. This product is ideal for awards, packaging, signs, and more.
