It’s pretty rare that a week goes by when everything goes to plan
If you are in print sales, you are going to be faced by a whole load of challenges. Maybe you lose a job you thought you were certain to get. Maybe there’s a production problem and you let a client down. Perhaps it’s harder than normal to make contact with your prospects. Or it could be that you just aren’t in the right mood to make new business approaches.
When stuff happens, it’s hard not to take it personally
That’s why it is useful to have an accountability buddy. It's someone whom you can talk to in a non-judgemental way about what is happening. Often you will find a way forward just by talking about it. But your accountability buddy can often offer useful advice because they are not so close to the issue as you are.
Remember, an accountability buddy doesn’t have to work at your company. They can be someone you network with, a friend or a family member. I also offer accountability services.
