Many people think that sales heroes are a special sort of person
The truth is anyone can be a sales hero as long as they win the war against time. Sales heroes are the unsung champions that keep at the unglamourous activity that brings in business. Let’s dispel some of the myths about people who are sales heroes.
Sales heroes don’t have to be sales experts
Most people that I have met who sell print, have never received any training. They know no more about sales than the average person. They’ve just had to figure it out as they go along.
They definitely don’t devote their whole time to sales
Sales heroes are busy battling time demands, just like everybody else. They certainly aren’t able to allocate their whole day to nothing but sales.
Sales heroes rarely receive much help
Few of them are given any guidance or support. They rarely receive goals or accountability. Sales heroes are out on their own and feeling lonely like so many other people.
Here’s why sales heroes succeed
Here are two tricks that the average sales hero has mastered.
Firstly, they put aside a few hours every week that are specifically for sales. It’s usually just a few hours. But four hours a week can make all the difference.
They also have a range of sales strategies that they know work. These are things that anyone can do successfully. The difference is that sales heroes make the time to carry them out.
